During my recent stay at Hotel Ambika Palace in Chennai, I found it to be quite the delightful retreat, especially considering the budget-friendly price of ₹900 a night. The location was a gem, mere minutes from Marina Beach and surrounded by vibrant, bustling streets that felt authentically local - albeit a bit on the messy side! The room was surprisingly comfortable, complete with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom, which added to the overall convenience. I was particularly impressed by the approachable staff, especially Biju, who went out of his way to ensure we felt welcomed and had everything we needed. The free WiFi was a splendid bonus, allowing me to share my experiences while exploring nearby attractions like Spencer Plaza Mall and the Government Museum. While the surroundings are lively, I appreciated the proximity to the Metro, making it easy to hop around the city without breaking a sweat. If you're looking for an authentic Chennai experience that won't break the bank, I highly recommend Hotel Ambika Palace for a cozy stay in this vibrant part of India!
